The LORD detests the thoughts of the wicked, but those
of the pure are pleasing to him. (Proverbs 15:26)
Many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their
destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is their
shame. Their mind is on earthly things. (Philippians 3:18-19)
Those who live according to the sinful nature have
their minds set on what that nature desires. (Romans 8:5)
How long, 0 men, will you turn my glory into shame?
How long will you love delusions and seek false gods? (Psalm 4:2)
For although they knew God, they neither glorified
him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their
foolish hearts were darkened. (Romans 1:21)
In his pride the wicked does not seek him; in all
his thoughts there is no room for God. (Psalm 10:4)
The sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not
submit to God's law, nor can it do so. (Romans 8:7)
The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind
controlled by the Spirit is life and peace. (Romans 8:6)
Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his
thoughts. (Isaiah 55:7)
Wash the evil from your heart and be saved. How long
will you harbor wicked thoughts? (Jeremiah 4:14)
For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder,
adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what
make a man "unclean"; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him
"unclean." (Matthew 15:19-20)
How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every
day have sorrow in my heart? ... But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart
rejoices in your salvation. (Psalm 13:2-6)
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this
world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to
test and approve what God's will is his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans
12:2)
How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who
through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our
consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
(Hebrews 9:14)
