And lead us not into temptation.
(Luke 11:4)
If you think you are standing firm, be careful that
you don't fall! (1 Corinthians 10:12)
No temptation has seized you except what is common
to man. (1 Corinthians 10:13)
And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted
beyond what you can bear. (1 Corinthians 10:13)
But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way
out so that you can stand up under it. (1 Corinthians 10:13)
When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting
me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one
is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. (James
1:13-14)
Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to
sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. (James 1:15)
Watch and pray so that you will not fall into
temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak. (Matthew 26:41)
Like a muddied spring or a polluted well is a
righteous man who gives way to the wicked. (Proverbs 25:26)
