The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those
who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18)
The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all
faces. (Isaiah 25:8)
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their
wounds. (Psalm 147:3)
Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our
sorrows. (Isaiah 53:4)
My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me
according to your word. (Psalm 119:28)
Death is the destiny of every man; the living should
take this to heart. (Ecclesiastes 7:2)
Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about
those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. (I
Thessalonians 4:13)
We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we
believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. (1

For this very reason, Christ died and returned to
life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. (Romans 14:9)

imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written
will come true: "Death has been swallowed up in victory." (1 Corinthians 15:54)
Why are you downcast, 0 my soul? Why so disturbed
