Be patient, bearing with one another in love.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it
is not proud.
(1 Corinthians 13:4)
A patient man has great understanding, but a quick-tempered man displays
folly. (Proverbs 14:29)
It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss
the way. (Proverbs 19:2)
A man's wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an
offense. Better
a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who
takes a city. (Proverbs 16:32) A
hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel.
(Proverbs 15:18) Be
joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. (Romans
12:12) And we
urge you, brothers, warm those who are idle, encourage the timid, help
the weak, be patient with everyone.
